Belkin Launches BoostSolid Power Banks Designed to Last 3x Longer

Belkin unveiled its first semi-solid-state magnetic power banks at IFA 2026, introducing BoostSolid technology designed to last up to three times longer than traditional lithium-ion accessories. The new UltraCharge Pro lineup launches this month in 5,000mAh and 10,000mAh capacities starting at $69.99.

Belkin has expanded its mobile accessories lineup with a new class of external batteries built on semi-solid-state architecture. Announced at IFA 2026, the hardware introduces an internal gel layer alongside the traditional liquid electrolyte found in standard lithium-ion power banks. The company is branding this architecture under the name BoostSolid cell technology, positioning it as a major durability upgrade for magnetic snap-on chargers. Belkin is joining companies like BMX, Kuxiu, and Zens with the launch of its first power banks featuring semi-solid-state battery technology.

BoostSolid Technology and the Threefold Lifespan Claim

The engineering shift aims to address the common degradation problems that plague everyday portable chargers. According to the manufacturer, the BoostSolid Cell design has been engineered to last up to 3x longer than other power banks thanks to its hybrid gel and liquid composition. This structural change also brings tangible safety advantages, including a reduced risk of overheating that could cause swelling or fires and consistent power delivery across a wider temperature range. Belkin says the battery’s “BoostSolid” architecture helps reduce the risk of swelling and fire, similar to Better Mobile Xperience’s SolidSafe battery technology. Belkin notes that these units are more expensive than power banks with comparable specs, but argues that a longer functional lifespan should outweigh the premium pricing.

Behind the longevity claim is a specific retention benchmark. Belkin’s internal estimates indicate that the hardware retains 80 percent of its original charging capacity after 1,000 charge cycles. That estimate comes from its ability to maintain this capacity over a five-year lifespan assuming a full charge cycle every two days.

UltraCharge Pro Slim 5K and UltraCharge Pro 10K Options

The initial roll-out features two distinct models tailored to different travel and power needs. The smaller option, the UltraCharge Pro Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5K, carries a price tag of $69.99 and will be available starting this month from retailers like Amazon and Belkin’s website. The company claims it is 40 percent slimmer than other 5,000mAh power banks, is designed to magnetically hang on the back of compatible mobile devices, and is no larger than a standard credit card while measuring just 8.8mm thick.

Users needing higher output can step up to the UltraCharge Pro Power Bank 10K. Priced at $89.99, it provides double the storage capacity for an additional $20 while maintaining a slimmer profile than competing options with similar capacities thanks to the increased energy density of its semi-solid-state battery tech. The larger model introduces a display showing real-time battery status, power output, and thermal monitoring. If you need something that will charge a laptop or gaming handhelds, the 10,000mAh UltraCharge Pro is likely the better bet, though the Slim version is just as useful if space is a heavy consideration.

Both new power banks support certified Qi2 15W wireless charging, capable of magnetically attaching to mobile devices. However, their wired capabilities differ substantially based on capacity.

The smaller 5K version includes a USB-C charging port that can be used to power other devices at up to 22.5W, though charging two devices simultaneously drops the output to just 5W wirelessly and 12W with a USB-C cable. Meanwhile, the UltraCharge Pro 10K is able to reach 60W wired charging from a single port when charging a single device over USB-C. That power output drops when up to three devices are connected and charging using a pair of USB-C ports and a single USB-A port.

Broader IFA 2026 Announcements and Pricing

Beyond the semi-solid-state devices, Belkin used the trade show to reveal a slew of new accessories. The new UltraCharge 22K power bank looks pretty similar to Anker’s large-capacity model, coming with a digital display, a retractable cable, a 22,000mAh capacity, and a 65W charging capability through its integrated cable designed for larger devices like laptops and tablets. Belkin also introduced the UltraCharge 11K with an 11,000mAh capacity as a better option if you just want a power bank for your phone. Both models will be available in the beginning of September on Belkin’s website, Amazon, and retailers for $100 for the 22K version and $60 for the 11K model.

Additionally, the company introduced the new SureFind collection of tracking devices. The SureFind Spot is a $15 coin-shaped tracking device that can be easily attached to keys or inserted into bags and suitcases. The $27 SureFind Card is a card-like tracker that you can insert into wallets and passport holders, as well as thin or slim bags. The SureFind Loop Cable Tag comes with a built-in USB-C to USB-C cable that you can use for charging when needed for $25. The SureFind Wallet Stand, costing $40, comes with location tracking, card storage, an RFID blocker, and attaches to your phone so you can use it as a stand. Belkin also introduced a $25 compact magnetic ring stand for your phone and new 30W compact USB-C wall chargers in the colors of Apple’s MacBook Neo for $27 each.
