Voters in Cobb County who requested a mail-in ballot for the November 3, 2026, General Election and Special Election but have not yet received it can track its delivery status online or contact local election officials for direct assistance, cobbcounty.gov reported.
Georgia’s My Voter Page allows residents to review their absentee ballot status, check the exact issue date, and monitor whether county offices have recorded a returned envelope. For automated updates, voters can also sign up through the Absentee Ballot Portal by selecting the subscription option to receive notifications via text message, phone call, or email.
Shifting to In-Person Voting
Requesting an absentee ballot does not lock anyone out of voting in person. Residents who have not already returned a completed ballot can still cast their votes either during the final days of early voting or at their precinct on Election Day. Advance Voting runs through Friday, October 30, 2026, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Anyone needing to find an early voting site can review Advance Voting locations and hours on the county website.
Election Day takes place on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, with polling places open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters heading to the polls on that Tuesday can verify their assigned precinct through Georgia’s My Voter Page.
If a voter actually received their absentee ballot in the mail but ultimately decided to cast a ballot in person, they should bring the unmailed mail-in ballot with them to the polling place. Voters who no longer have the physical ballot must complete the required Affidavit of Cancelled Absentee Ballot before checking in to vote. County election officials advise that if an absentee ballot arrives in the mail after a voter has already cast a ballot in person, that late-arriving envelope must be destroyed and should not be completed or returned.
Mail Ballots Must Arrive by Election Day
For those who prefer to complete their vote by mail, completed ballots must arrive at Cobb County Elections & Registration no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026. A postal postmark alone does not satisfy this requirement. Additional details on mailing rules and procedures are available through the absentee ballot return information pages provided by the county.
