Colorado College Tigers Face LeTourneau in SCAC Soccer Final

The Tigers Chase an NCAA Berth in SCAC Championship Final

A single match stands between the Colorado College Tigers and a spot in the NCAA tournament. According to CCTigers.com, the Tigers are prepared to return to the SCAC Final for the second consecutive season, facing off against LeTourneau to decide the championship. The stakes extend beyond the trophy; a victory this weekend would make Colorado College eligible for the NCAA tournament, with the official selection show scheduled for Monday.

The path to the final was not a straightforward one for their opponents. LeTourneau secured their place in the title game following a high-pressure penalty kick upset of Concordia in the semifinal. That victory was anchored by goalkeeper Carson Gamble, who made the decisive save during the penalty shootout to send the Yellow Jackets through.

While the Tigers enter the match with a statistical advantage in the series, the momentum of a semifinal upset remains a factor. The two programs have met twice before in program history, and Colorado College holds a 2-0 record against LeTourneau. This includes a 3-0 victory for the Tigers during their regular-season meeting in Colorado Springs.

LeTourneau Statistical Profile

Despite the Tigers’ historical dominance in the series, the LeTourneau offense possesses significant scoring depth that could challenge the Colorado College defense. The Yellow Jackets’ attacking unit is led by Leandro Ferreira, who has recorded nine goals and four assists for a total of 22 points this season.

Colton Chalker serves as the primary playmaker for the squad, leading the team with six assists. Other notable contributors to the Yellow Jackets’ offensive production include Caleb Nelson and Ezequiel Romero, who have recorded three assists each.

On the defensive end, Edson Camara Martinez is the expected starter for LeTourneau. Martinez demonstrated significant endurance during the semifinal round, playing through the entirety of both regulation and overtime before the match transitioned to penalty kicks.
