Speedo is making its entry into the wearable technology market with a compact triangular module designed to fit directly into the corner of its Vanquisher goggles. Rather than replacing an entire set of eyewear when a strap wears down, swimmers can easily snap out the tracker and transfer it to a fresh pair of goggles. The device is built with internal swim-specific sensors capable of monitoring form across competitive swimming’s four major disciplines: freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly.

How the Speedo iQ Removable Module Works

During a pool session, the system tracks metrics ranging from distance and pace to head position, breathing patterns, and turn execution. Once the workout concludes, the module uses Bluetooth to sync with the free Speedo iQ app for detailed analysis. According to the company, the software allows users to replay their swim, see the details behind their performance, and find opportunities to swim faster.

The connected iQ app analyzes your data and suggests ways to improve, including drills to focus your training where it’s needed most.

The Vanquisher 3.0 goggles equipped with the Speedo iQ module are offered in six colors. Notably, the hardware operates on a subscription-free model and holds official approval for World Aquatics competitions.
