TNA Lockdown 2026 Results: AJ Francis Defeats Elijah

TNA Lockdown delivered steel cage matches across the card in Chicago on August 23, featuring championship defenses, surprise returns, and AJ Francis defeating Elijah in The Final Encore. The pay-per-view event streamed live on TNA+ and PPV.com from the Credit Union 1 Arena. The Countdown to Lockdown pre-show began at 5 p.m. ET, with the main show starting at 6 p.m. ET.

The official theme song for Lockdown is “Fade Away” by Chris Bey. Ace Steel hyped up the Chicago crowd as the Lockdown cage lowered for the PPV.

AJ Francis and Elijah Clash in The Final Encore

The night opened with TNA’s most notorious man, AJ Francis, taking on Elijah in The Final Encore. The big man looked for a Down Payment from the top rope, but Elijah reversed it into a sunset flip powerbomb. Both men climbed the turnbuckle again, and Elijah rallied for a huge powerbomb and a flying elbow drop. Elijah teases another elbow drop, this time from the top of the cage, but Francis gets a hold of him. When Francis stood on the top rope, they both sat atop the cage throwing punches. Elijah got the upper hand before they both hit the mat courtesy of a superplex off of the cage.

Expressions was rolled in in a wheelchair. Francis told the referee to open the cage door. When Elijah tried to close the door, Expressions slammed it on him. Expressions isn’t injured anymore, and The Drifter dragged Expressions back to the ring for some punishment, spiking him with The Highwayman’s Farewell piledriver. Francis followed up by disorienting The Drifter with a moonsault from the ropes and the Down Payment chokeslam to pick up the win. Afterward, Home Town Man handed a guitar to Elijah. As Francis celebrated, Elijah climbed the corner for a flying guitar smash over the head, drawing a huge reaction from the Chicago crowd.

Kiera Hogan Makes Surprise Return in Knockouts Tag Team Match

Gia Miller catches up with Allie ahead of the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship match against The Elegance Brand. Allie hasn’t heard from Rosemary, and she is worried. Allie has a responsibility to defend the tag titles, and Rosemary wouldn’t want her to hand over the championships, so Allie found a partner to stand beside her. Former TNA Knockout Kiera Hogan made her surprise return to join forces with Allie against The Elegance Brand, and Allie handed Hogan the tag team title belt as they entered the ring. The Elegance Brand dressed as police with handcuffs. The match worked around hot offense for Hogan, and Mr. Elegance climbed the cage as a distraction.

Frankie Kazarian and Moose Battle Inside the Steel Cage

Moose took on Frankie Kazarian in an Escape The Cage match. The System is confident in victory, and Moose faced Kazarian inside the steel enclosure.

Countdown to Lockdown Results and Preliminary Bouts

The Countdown to Lockdown pre-show kicked off at 5 pm ET with two opening contests before the main pay-per-view card. The Righteous defeated Rich Swann & BDE. The Righteous want to recruit BDE, but he wasn’t having it, and they isolated BDE. Swann executed a handspring cutter to Vincent, a dive outside onto Dutch, and a flying splash on Vincent, resulting in a kick out on the cover. Dutch regained control for his team with power offense, and Vincent spiked Swann. BDE landed a flying splash onto the pile to break the pin and dragged Swann to the corner for the tag. BDE ran wild for a rolling Codebreaker and a springboard cutter finisher, which Vincent kicked out of. Dutch shoved BDE off the turnbuckles and smashed Swann on the outside. Vincent hit Orange Sunshine on BDE to win. The Righteous said that they are trying to help BDE.

In the second pre-show match, Trey Miguel defeated Agent Zero. Trey arrived to a Spider-Man entrance wearing Spider-Man gear. The action was power versus speed, with Zero controlling the flow while Trey sparked quick bursts of offense. In the end, Zero caught a kick and lifted Trey into a powerbomb position to toss onto the top rope. Double goozle lift by Zero into a fireman’s carry position. Spider-Trey countered on Zero’s shoulders into a roll-up, reversing Zero’s Choke Bomb attempt for the win. This is Special Agent Zero’s first singles loss in TNA.

Indi Hartwell thinks she earned to be next for the Knockouts Championship. Indi sassed Daria Rae as Diarrhea Rae, because all her decisions stink. The SUIT gave her strike one, noting there will not be another warning.
