Kroy Biermann Jr. Accused of Sex With Relative Under 12 in Court Hearing

Kroy Biermann Jr. appeared in a Georgia court on Friday as prosecutors revealed investigators found videos on his cell phone depicting him having penetrative sex with a relative under the age of 12. The 15-year-old son of Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak and former NFL star Kroy Biermann is currently jailed facing multiple felony charges.

Courtroom Revelations and Video Evidence Presented by Prosecutors

During a bond hearing in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court, Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy shockingly revealed that investigators previously discovered videos on the cell phone of Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr. that allegedly show the teenager engaged in penetrative sex with a family member under the age of 12. According to prosecutors in his sexual assault case, the device contained multiple encounters on video.

The prosecutor stated that the footage captures the 15-year-old using predatory, derogatory language toward the victim. McGillicuddy noted that this would now mark the second time he has been charged with an offense of a serious sexual nature of a very serious kind which involves female victims, adding that KJ was previously charged with sexual battery of a victim under the age of 16. That previous case was in juvenile court and had not been publicly reported until now. Per McGillicuddy, he has been under court supervision for that charge since October 2025.

Separate Felony Charges and Ongoing Legal Proceedings

The new allegations emerge as the teenager faces seven felony charges stemming from a separate incident involving a female classmate in a gym changing room last month, where he was arrested. Those charges include felony aggravated sodomy and felony aggravated sexual battery. McGillicuddy stated that the victim in the separate April incident suffered documented physical injury which she described as “predatory.”

A statement from the victim in the separate case was read aloud in the courtroom. In the statement, she begged for the judge to consider [her] safety before deciding whether to release KJ on bond, stating she has been “living in fear” due to alleged threats that KJ would come after her if released. The victim wrote that she cannot just ignore the situation because members of her family have received emails and phone calls, concluding, The thought of him being released scares me more than I can put into words.

Family Presence and Defense Arguments at the Bond Hearing

The teen’s defense attorney, Jason Sheffield, has consistently denied the allegations made against KJ in the separate sexual battery and sodomy case. Sheffield previously told reporters, The fact that he’s been arrested and is being held without bond is a tragedy. He is not only presumed innocent, but is, in fact, innocent. Sheffield initially petitioned for his client’s release last week by highlighting his client’s achievements in the classroom, the community, and on the football field.

In his plea for bond before Judge Melynee Leftridge, Sheffield told the court, This has been so traumatizing to [KJ] personally. He is not a boisterous kid. He is somewhat quiet. Sheffield asked that his client be released on a $65,000 bond and insisted that 48-year-old Kim Zolciak would monitor him, as she is currently at home and not employed at the moment. In contrast, McGillicuddy asked the judge not to release him or, at least, to set bond at the much higher figure of $190,000. Judge Leftridge said Friday that she will decide by Monday whether KJ — who is currently jailed at Atlanta’s Metro Regional Youth Detention Center — will be released on bond.

Family Reactions Inside the Courtroom Gallery

Family members were present in the courtroom gallery during Friday’s proceedings to show support for the teenager, who remained emotionless throughout the hearing. Kim Zolciak and her 29-year-old eldest daughter, Brielle Biermann, arrived together and sat side-by-side in the gallery looking “stone-faced.” Kroy Biermann arrived separately, looking “stressed,” and sat solo in the row directly in front of them.
