Colorado State heads into Logan this weekend as the Rams face Utah State on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 1:30 PM MT at Maverik Stadium. The matchup airs on USA Sports.
The Rams enter the weekend at 3-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play, while the Aggies sit at 2-5 overall and 1-2 against conference opponents. Saturday marks the 81st meeting in a series that stretches back to 1902, making it one of the longest played series in CSU history behind the Border War with Wyoming.
A Historic Series Spanning Six Conferences
Over more than a century, this clash has spanned six conferences: the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the Mountain States/Skyline Conference, the Western Athletic Conference, the Mountain West and now the rebuilt Pac-12. Colorado State leads the overall series 40-38-2, punctuated by a victory in 2024 in Fort Collins, 42-37, after a 29-point fourth-quarter comeback.

Playing on Halloween adds a peculiar calendar quirk to the afternoon kickoff. Colorado State has played 15 games prior on October 31. This includes facing Utah State twice with victories. CSU is 5-15 all time on Halloween, with just one of those wins coming since the 1970s.
