Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) returns to Tinker Field in Orlando for its fifteenth edition from November 6 through November 8, 2026. While the three-day festival is sold out, officials have enacted a strict Special Event Zone across surrounding neighborhoods to manage traffic and deter unpermitted gatherings through the morning of November 9.
The scale of EDC Orlando often transforms the local area, and this year is no exception. As the festival marks its milestone fifteenth debut at Tinker Field, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has moved to proactively mitigate the massive influx of attendees and the potential for congestion. According to reporting from FOX 35, the authorities established a Special Event Zone that went into effect at 6 p.m. on November 5 and remained active until 8 a.m. on November 9, 2026.
For residents and commuters, this designation carries immediate, practical consequences. Under the rules of the zone, traffic fines in the vicinity are doubled, and law enforcement maintains the authority to impound vehicles for any traffic violations. The sheriff’s office stated that these measures are intended to prevent severe traffic complications, a common byproduct of large-scale events in urban corridors. The boundaries for this zone encompass several major transit arteries, specifically Colonial Drive between Tampa Avenue and Hiawassee Road, John Young Parkway from SR 408 to WD Judge Road, and Old Winter Garden Road from John Young Parkway to Ferguson Drive.
Electronic Music Festival Gates Open Daily at Tinker Field
The festival gates open daily at 1 p.m. to accommodate the crowds heading to Tinker Field. The programming runs until midnight each evening from Friday, November 6, through Sunday, November 8. This year’s lineup features a significant roster of electronic dance music talent, including headliners such as David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Alesso, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Mau P, SLANDER, and Wooli. With over 40 artists scheduled to perform, the event continues to be a primary driver for local entertainment tourism.
For those still looking to attend, access is currently limited. While three-day passes are no longer available on the official festival website, the organizers have indicated that select tickets for Sunday remain up for grabs. There is still availability for specific amenities, including shuttles and various after-party events, which often serve as the secondary economic engine for the surrounding hospitality sector during the festival weekend.

Orange County Sheriff's Office Implements Special Event Zone
The implementation of a Special Event Zone is a tactical response to the logistical pressure an event of this size places on Orlando’s infrastructure.
The decision to maintain this zone until the morning of November 9 was made by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to avoid severe traffic complications.
