Martha Sazon Leads Four Filipinas on Fortune’s 2026 Asia Power Ranking
Four executive leaders from the Philippines earned spots on the third annual Fortune Most Powerful Women Asia list published in October 2026. The roster spans 14 markets across the region, recognizing corporate figures whose leadership, business performance, and strategic influence shape economic trajectories. Assessment of candidates by Fortune took into account organizational size and results, professional progression, clout, creativity, and wider community influence.
Martha Sazon, president and chief executive officer of Mynt, claimed the highest spot among the Filipino executives at No. 35. She marks her third consecutive inclusion on the regional power list for her work in expanding financial access through GCash, which operates as the country’s mobile finance app and cashless ecosystem. Sazon has carried the banner for Philippine innovation and financial technology at prominent international gatherings like the World Economic Forum in Davos, the International Monetary Fund Executive Board Retreat, the Global Summit of Women in Dubai, the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and more recently, the UN Global Compact (UNGC) Leaders Summit 2026, which was held in New York City. Joining her on the 100-person roster are Land Bank of the Philippines president and CEO Lynette Ortiz at No. 77, Megaworld Corp. president and CEO Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso at No. 87, and Union Bank of the Philippines president and CEO Ana Maria Aboitiz Delgado at No. 98.

Landbank, Megaworld, and UnionBank Executives Shape Regional Finance and Real Estate
Having taken the role in 2023, Ortiz brought three decades of banking experience to LandBank—previously serving as Standard Chartered Philippines’ initial Filipino CEO—and guided the organization to achieve a historic net income of P44 billion in 2025, marking a 24 percent year-on-year increase.
She joined the company in 1990, six months after businessman Andrew Tan launched the firm, guiding its expansion into a nationwide real estate group with 37 integrated townships, an office leasing portfolio exceeding 1.7 million square meters of gross leasable area, 17 hotels, and 27 lifestyle malls. Megaworld posted a net income of P24 billion in 2025.

UnionBank CEO Ana Maria Aboitiz Delgado rounds out the Filipino executives at No. 98. A fifth-generation member of the Aboitiz family, she joined UnionBank in 2003 after a stint at Citibank, took the helm as president and chief executive in January 2025, and made history in March 2026 as the first woman to lead the Bankers Association of the Philippines in its nearly 80-year existence.
Technology Dominates the Broader 2026 Asian Corporate Landscape
Across the wider region, DBS Group CEO Tan Su Shan retained the No. 1 ranking as the first woman to lead Southeast Asia’s largest bank by assets, followed by Grace Wang at No. 2. Lens Technology founder Zhou Qunfei recorded one of the most substantial upward moves, jumping 25 spots to No. 3.
“Technology leads the list with 16 women, ahead of banking with 14—a reflection of Asia’s formidable strength in hardware, electronics, and advanced manufacturing. Together, they are shaping industries, companies, and markets far beyond the region.”
