Sierra Headlines First-Team Selection
Senior midfielder Juan Sierra of Bogotá, Colombia, earned First Team honors after orchestrating the Wildcats’ offense throughout the 2026 season with 10 goals and nine assists for 29 points. He scored a hat trick and assisted on four other goals for 10 points against Texas College, then finished strong by scoring in four of LCU’s final five matches. The four-year Wildcat claimed his first career RRAC postseason award.
Senior defender Matej Motycka of Prague, Czech Republic, and freshman Juan Tavera of Bogotá, Colombia, were named to the Second Team. Motycka led the back line while adding two goals and three assists, all three of which came in the last four matches of the year, earning the third-year Wildcat his first RRAC postseason honor. Tavera, who played both midfield and defense, recorded his lone assist in a draw against Southwest and fired his only shot on goal against Texas College, securing the first-year Wildcat’s first RRAC award.
Sophomore midfielder Nico Neira, also from Bogotá, received Honorable Mention after locking down the defensive midfield and starting attacks, though he managed just a couple of shots on goal early in the season and no further offensive statistics. It marks his first postseason award. The conference also selected Christian Sigaran to the RRAC Champions of Character team as LCU’s best representative of the NAIA’s five core principles of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
