KCBS Awards Banquet Announces 2027 Hall of Fame Schedule

The Kansas City Barbeque Society will hold its 2027 Annual Awards Banquet over two days in February 2027, with registration opening at noon on Friday, February 19, according to the organization’s published schedule. The event’s Saturday programming culminates in a Hall of Fame Induction & Awards Ceremony at 7:00 PM on February 20.

The banquet unfolds across Friday, February 19, and Saturday, February 20. Friday begins with registration check-in from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a Hall of Fame Mixer in the hotel lobby at 4:00 PM. Saturday’s registration check-in runs from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and breakout discussions begin at 9:00 AM, with attendees choosing the session in each time slot that most interests them.

Roundtables for Contest Reps, Organizers and Judges

Saturday morning’s breakout sessions include a 9:00 AM Reps Roundtable, described as an interactive and informative session for KCBS Contest Reps, alongside a 9:00 AM session listed as TBD. At 10:00 AM, an Organizer Roundtable offers a Q&A with successful event organizers from around the country, paired with a second 10:00 AM TBD session. An 11:00 AM CBJ Roundtable, an engaging and informative session for KCBS Certified Barbeque Judges, rounds out the morning alongside another 11:00 AM TBD slot.

Hall of Fame Spotlight and Evening Ceremony

At 12:00 PM Saturday, the schedule calls for a Hall of Fame Spotlight to celebrate the 2027 Hall of Fame Inductees, with attendees encouraged to enjoy their time before the evening festivities — including hopping on the free KC Streetcar in front of the hotel to explore Kansas City. The day concludes with a 5:00 PM Social Hour, a 6:00 PM Banquet Dinner, and the 7:00 PM Hall of Fame Induction & Awards Ceremony.
