Keyalynn Gray Arrested for Fatal Gold Chain Robbery in Oklahoma City

Bank Parking Lot Robbery Leaves 25-Year-Old Dead Over $2,000 Gold Chain

An 18-year-old man was arrested for first-degree murder and robbery following a daylight shooting outside a northwest Oklahoma City bank that left 25-Year-old Andres Guerrero dead, news9.com reported. The October 26 confrontation, initially mistaken by bystanders for a road rage dispute, centered on the attempted sale of a $2,000 gold chain.

The transaction turned violent outside the First Citizens Bank located near 122nd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. According to police affidavits, the suspect, Keyalynn Gray, went inside the financial institution first to create the appearance that he had funds for the purchase before pulling a mini-AK-47 style rifle from a backpack.

Witness Describes Public Shooting as Gray Opens Fire

Aaron Mears, a witness sitting in a nearby company truck, watched the sequence unfold in public view. “To do something like that brazenly in public with other people around and thinking you’re going to get away with it,” Mears told news9.com.

Investigators stated that Gray pulled his firearm to intimidate Guerrero, but opened fire when he saw the victim was also armed. Mortally wounded, Guerrero managed to stumble inside the bank building before collapsing and dying, according to Master Sergeant Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Surveillance cameras mounted on the Mears Engineering building captured a red car fleeing the scene. Witnesses flagged down responding officers to point them toward the suspect’s vehicle.

The Arrest and Recovery of Evidence

Using the business surveillance footage, law enforcement tracked Gray to a residence in southeast Oklahoma City. Police arrested him after he was treated and released from a local hospital for a gunshot wound to the hand—an injury sustained when the victim returned fire during the exchange.

During the ensuing search, investigators recovered multiple pieces of physical evidence linked to the flight from the scene. Police found Gray’s dropped cellular phone near the bank, discovered his discarded clothing inside a creek, and located the abandoned red vehicle just blocks away from the house where the arrest took place.

Gray was subsequently booked into the county jail on complaints of first-degree murder and robbery. Meanwhile, family friends have established an online fundraiser via GoFundMe to assist following Guerrero’s death.
