Laneway Festival Announces 2027 Lineup With Fontaines D.C. and Hayley Williams

Laneway Festival has announced its 2027 lineup, featuring Fontaines D.C. and Hayley Williams as headliners for its 22nd annual late-summer run. The festival returns to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Auckland in February 2027, with presale tickets opening on Wednesday, October 7.

Fontaines D.C. and Hayley Williams Lead the 2027 Bill

Irish post-punk outfit Fontaines D.C. return to the festival for the first time in four years, moving up to a main-stage slot. The Dublin band will bring fresh material from their forthcoming fifth album, Dopamine Chamber. The Dublin band’s return follows a huge few years that have included headline appearances at Reading & Leeds, sold-out arena tours and back-to-back BRIT Awards.

Sharing top billing is Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams, bringing The Hayley Williams Show to Australia and New Zealand for her first-ever solo festival appearances in the region. Williams will be bringing The Hayley Williams Show, her first solo show in New Zealand which is separate from her work as frontwoman of Paramore. She is expected to play tracks from her third solo album, Ego Death for a Bachelorette Party, marking a new chapter in her career amid the pop-punk band’s hiatus.

Pop, Post-Punk, and Electronic Acts Round Out the Roster

Beyond the headliners, the 22nd edition of the festival packs a dense lineup of international and local talent across pop, electronic, and alternative genres. The line-up, released on Wednesday, also includes Paramore’s Hayley Williams, who makes her first solo appearance in New Zealand, Slayyyter (her first New Zealand appearance) and ADÉLA at the top of the bill for the annual late summer festival. Slayyyter simply cannot keep away from us, coming back for a second time in six months for her Laneway Festival debut. The pop heads are going to be eating well in 2027, as ADÉLA, Kim Petras, MUNA and Rachel Chinouriri bulk out the line-up.

For those who love to get their sweat on, the electronic artist offerings at Laneway Festival 2027 are the cream of the crop. Expect absolute heaters from the likes of Ninajirachi, HorsegiirL, Rommulas, PC Music pioneer Danny L Harle, Daine, Jane Remover and Tiffany Day pumping through the speakers. Electronic music fans will be thrilled with the inclusion of Australian producer Ninajirachi and HorsegiirL. Glitchpop star Jane Remover is among the other international acts set to perform, along with dance acts Horsegiirl, DJ_DAVE and 1TBSP.

Shoegaze band DIIV will hit the stage off the back of their fifth album ZIRP! Alongside a host of rising artists, the lineup also features Rico Nasty. Local acts on the bill include Māori electronic artist MOKOMOKAI and Auckland alternative band Office Dog, alongside Balu Brigada, who will be making their return to the country after relocating to Los Angeles.

Tour Dates Across Four Cities With Adelaide and Perth Sidelined

The festival will be held in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Auckland, with Adelaide and Perth taking a break from the festival circuit.

Venues, Dates, and Ticket Sales Schedule

The festival will kick off in Sydney on February 12, followed by Brisbane on February 13, Melbourne on February 19 and Auckland on February 21. The full line-up has been released for the annual summer festival which plans to fill the newly minted Western Springs Bowl on 21 February, 2027. Laneway has a reputation for bringing major international acts to New Zealand, with previous lineups featuring artists including Chappell Roan and Charli XCX. Last year’s event was attended by more than 36,000 people, which marked a change to Laneway’s traditional Auckland Anniversary weekend date.

Tickets will first be available through the Laneway Festival presale on Wednesday, October 7th. The general sale will follow on Thursday, October 8th. Both sales will kick off at 10am AEDT in Sydney, 11am AEDT in Melbourne, 11am AEST in Brisbane and 11am NZDT in Auckland, on their respective days.
