Lindsay Hubbard Opens Up About Nine-Month Celibacy

Lindsay Hubbard Reflects on Nine-Month Celibacy

Lindsay Hubbard, known for her long tenure on reality television, has shared a candid update regarding her personal life, revealing that she has been celibate for nine months. Hubbard opened up about this extended dry spell during the May 19 episode of the series In The City.

In a confessional interview, Hubbard noted that the lack of sexual activity is out of character for her, humorously remarking that she previously felt very comfortable with her dating and sex life. She explained to producers that her current situation is a result of the end of her relationship with Turner Kufe, the father of her toddler daughter, Gemma. According to Hubbard, she likely would have resumed sexual activity six weeks after giving birth—once she received medical clearance—had the relationship not ended. Instead, the breakup led to an extended period without a romantic partner.

Navigating a “New Chapter”

The revelation comes as Hubbard transitions into what she describes as a “new chapter of adulthood.” During a January interview with BravoTV.com, she noted that dating is currently not her primary focus. Instead, she is prioritizing the complex decisions and responsibilities that come with being a single mother and navigating daily life in New York City.

“Now, I’m trying to really figure out those big life adult decisions that we have to make,” Hubbard explained. “The stakes are higher. We are trying to really figure out where our futures are going, in a real way.”

Hubbard, who previously appeared on Summer House, has been open about her history of difficult relationships. During Season 10 of that series, she admitted that her past experiences left her feeling burned, leading her to question her approach to love. Despite these challenges, she maintained at BravoCon 2025 that she is currently just “having fun” and is not actively prioritizing dating, though she remains open to the possibility if someone happens to come into her life.

Repairing Past Relationships

Her high-profile engagement to Carl Radke, which ended in a public breakup shortly before their planned wedding, was a significant point of discussion in recent years. However, Hubbard and Radke have taken steps to repair their friendship. During the April 28 episode of Summer House, Hubbard visited the opening of Radke’s business, Soft Bar, to offer her support. Reflecting on their dynamic, Hubbard told BravoTV.com in January that she prefers to move forward rather than hold onto grudges. “The best advice that I can give is, look, like we only have one life to live,” Hubbard said. “You can hold a grudge, or you can choose to let it go and move on with your life.”

Context of the Transition

Hubbard’s current journey is featured on the new series In The City, which premiered as a shift from the Hamptons-based setting of Summer House. The show documents the lives of Hubbard and her peers as they navigate personal and professional transitions in New York City. New episodes of the series air on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. and are available to stream on Peacock the following day.

As Hubbard continues to adjust to this stage of her life, she remains focused on the “ups and downs” of her day-to-day reality, leaving behind the partying lifestyle of her younger years in favor of the challenges and excitements of adulthood.
