Logan Terness Saves 14 Shots as Kansas City Mavericks Shut Out Tahoe

The Kansas City Mavericks secured a decisive 3-0 shutout victory over the Tahoe Knight Monsters on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, at Cable Dahmer Arena, anchored by a perfect night in the crease from Logan Terness.

According to a report from KCTV5, Terness was the backbone of the defensive effort, stopping all 14 shots he faced to deny Tahoe any chance of finding the back of the net. The victory was a showcase of both clinical offensive execution and disciplined defensive play, as the Mavericks managed to find the scoresheet in every single period of the contest.

The atmosphere at Cable Dahmer Arena was palpable, with more than 3,875 fans in attendance to witness the Mavericks’ dominant performance. The game was not without its physical edge, however; officials recorded 42 total penalty minutes, which included three separate instances of fighting majors.

A Period-by-Period Breakdown of the Mavericks’ Dominance

Kansas City established control early, outshooting the Knight Monsters 10-3 in the opening frame. Justin Janicke broke the deadlock at the 9:06 mark of the first period, netting his second goal of the season with assistance from Lleyton Moore and Ryan Lautenbach.

The second period saw the Mavericks extend their advantage through the combined efforts of Jackson Berezowski and Casey Carreau. At 3:14 of the second, Berezowski found the net for his first goal of the season, assisted by Carreau and Gianfranco Cassaro, to make the score 2-0. While the Mavericks’ own power play struggled, going 0-for-1, their penalty kill was flawless, successfully neutralizing all three power play opportunities presented by Tahoe.

The Mavericks maintained their offensive pressure through the final whistle, outshooting Tahoe 11-4 in the third period. Casey Carreau sealed the shutout at 8:25 of the third period, scoring his first goal of the season following assists from Lucas Sowder and Berezowski. Despite the three-goal deficit, Tahoe goaltender Pavel Moysevich was kept busy, recording 27 saves in the effort.
