Their first in-person meeting occurred shortly before the 2017 Met Gala, where they met for drinks at the Carlyle Hotel in New York. The relationship progressed quickly from there. By May 2018, they were officially dating, and Nick proposed during a trip to Crete, Greece, just two-and-a-half months later.
