Nicole Beling Death: Police Appeal for Information After Woman Found in Croydon

Police in Croydon are investigating the unexplained death of 60-year-old Nicole Beling, whose body was discovered at a home in Dittoncroft Close on Friday, July 17. A 61-year-old man has been arrested twice on suspicion of murder as specialist detectives appeal for public information.

The discovery came after a family member reported Nicole Beling missing at around 12.05am on Friday, July 17. Police graded her as a high-risk missing person before visiting her property in South London later that morning to conduct inquiries into her disappearance. Following a search of the address, officers found her body inside and pronounced her dead at the scene.

Arrests Made as Inquiry Remains Unclassified

A 61-year-old man was arrested at the scene on Friday, July 17, on suspicion of murder. He was initially released under investigation before being arrested a second time on Saturday, August 1. Authorities have since released him on bail while their inquiries continue.

Despite the twin arrests, law enforcement officials emphasize that the investigation has not reached the threshold of a formal homicide inquiry. Her cause of death remains under investigation while specialists examine the circumstances.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command are spearheading the case. Specialist officers are currently supporting the victim’s family as forensic and background inquiries move forward.
