RiverWoods teams sponsor Alzheimer’s Association walks in NH

RiverWoods Communities Step Up for 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in New Hampshire

When the Central New Hampshire Walk to End Alzheimer’s drew participants to the Merrimack Premium Outlets this fall, the RiverWoods Manchester team was right there sponsoring the event and helping raise $3,686 for the Alzheimer’s Association, riverwoodsnh.org reported. According to Alzheimer’s Association data provided via act.alz.org, the overarching Walk to End Alzheimer’s stands as the world’s largest event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research, taking place annually in more than 600 communities nationwide.

The Seacoast NH Walk materials via act.alz.org note that more than 5 million Americans currently live with Alzheimer’s, with projections pointing toward as many as 16 million by the year 2050. Meanwhile, the national team figures published on act.alz.org indicate that more than 6 million Americans are living with the disease today, supported by over 11 million family and friends providing unpaid care.

Seacoast Sponsorship and Exeter Bandanas

Further south and east, the Seacoast Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Portsmouth brought out another contingent from RiverWoods, which sponsored the event’s dedicated pet area. riverwoodsnh.org reported that residents from the Exeter and Durham healthcare centers spent time crafting and decorating colorful bandanas for the dogs participating in the walk. Alongside that creative community effort, the Seacoast team pulled together more than $12,000 in donations for the Alzheimer’s Association.

For the organizations involved, the daily reality of dementia shapes much more than a single weekend of fundraising. riverwoodsnh.org noted that RiverWoods operates the Seacoast Dementia Hub, a cost-free resource designed to link caregivers with the practical tools and organizations needed to manage a diagnosis.
