The Registrar’s Office at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville adheres to the University of South Carolina Registrar’s Office guidelines and maintains stewardship of student academic records while managing registration, academic progress and graduation, sc.edu reported.
Records, Verifications and Letters of Good Standing
The office maintains the stewardship and integrity of student academic records. It manages policies for registration, academic progress and graduation.
It also processes letters of good standing, enrollment verifications, and verifications for residency, internship and fellowship.
Fellowship Documents Routed Through Greenville
Students request Dean’s Letters and Medical School Performance Evaluations for fellowship applications through the online Medical Institution Document Upload Service. The contact for both the MSPE and transcript is [email protected].
When submitting fellowship application requests via MIDUS, students should use [email protected] as the contact for both the MSPE and transcript.
Requesting Diploma Replacements
Diplomas are issued based on the legal name in the Registrar’s Office and arrive at graduation with several copies. Graduates needing duplicates contact the Main Campus Registrar.
Enrolled students and graduates can update their legal name on transcripts, evaluations and diplomas by submitting a Name Change Request form with proof of the legal change directly to the Greenville office rather than the main campus.
Banner Registration Split by Class Year
The office adheres to the University of South Carolina FERPA policy to protect student privacy. Registration flows through USC’s SRS system Banner.
The Registrar’s Office adds first- and second-year students to courses in both Banner and OASIS. Third- and fourth-year students work with the Office of Medical Education to enroll in OASIS, with the Registrar handling the Banner registration for those courses.
Transcripts and State Licensure Paperwork
Students can review their academic transcripts anytime through their Self Service account. Official transcript requests are processed by the main campus in Columbia.
The Registrar also processes required paperwork for state licensure and medical education verification, with all forms sent to the Registrar email.
