Sony Adds 9 Games to PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in October 2026

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced its October 2026 PlayStation Plus lineup, bringing nine titles to the Game Catalog starting October 20. The drop features historical crime prequel Mafia: The Old Country alongside returning heavyweights, day-one looter-shooters, and classic survival horror additions for higher-tier subscribers.

PlayStation has rolled out its monthly update for subscribers, attaching staggered release dates to a collection spanning current-generation releases and retro revivals. While the bulk of the library unlocks on October 20, individual titles land across different dates throughout the month for Extra and Premium members. PlayStation has revealed this month’s batch of new arrivals for the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, giving players access to as many as nine games depending on their chosen plan.

Sony Adds Mafia: The Old Country To October Catalog

Headlining the month is Mafia: The Old Country, a linear narrative prequel transporting players into the brutal underworld of early 20th-century Sicily.

Joining the main catalog on Oct. 20 is Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Forbidden West, which returns to the service after previously leaving in 2024. Players also get a day-one launch with Mycopunk, a cooperative looter-shooter where you tear through fungal enemies with an outrageous arsenal of futuristic weaponry. IGN gave Mafia: The Old Country an 8/10 in 2025 and praised it for its excellent writing, immersive world, and stellar performances.

Premium Subscribers Get Retro Classics and New Trials

Release dates are spread across the month depending on the platform tier and specific title. Subscribers on the Premium tier receive access to retro titles from the PlayStation Classics library alongside new game trials for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell 2 starting October 20. PlayStation 1 survival horror Dino Crisis 2 will also be added to the Classics Catalog for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, where players can suit up as returning protagonist Regina as well as series newcomer Dylan to investigate a research hub disaster linked to Kirk’s project Third Energy.

Back 4 Blood Expansion Pack And Community Event

It is followed by the Back 4 Blood — Tunnels of Terror expansion pack, which remains available at no additional cost for PlayStation Plus members from October 21 until November 4, alongside 95% off the second and third DLC packs as well as the Annual Pass.

A community challenge runs from October 20 through October 26, tasking Dead by Daylight players with reaching 10 million matches. Hitting that target unlocks an exclusive PlayStation Plus Exclusive HorrorFest Pack tied to the challenge.
