ASML Reports Record Q3 Sales and Raises Full-Year Outlook

ASML reported record third-quarter net sales of €11.7 billion on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, driven by soaring artificial intelligence demand. ASML Reports Record €11.7 Billion Third-Quarter Sales and Raises Full-Year Outlook

Semiconductors equipment supplier ASML Holding NV published its third-quarter results on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, posting net profit of €4.96 billion on net sales of €11.7 billion. The revenue figure marked a 55% increase from the same period a year earlier, landing near the top end of the company’s guidance range, while net income outperformed the consensus forecast of €4.05 billion.

ASML Raises Full-Year Sales Outlook

Driven by strong demand for productivity upgrades across its installed base, the company reported a gross margin of 57.5%, beating expectations. Installed base management sales came in at €3.3 billion, supplemented by additional segment contributions, and PCB Assembly Solutions. Operating activity accelerated as ASML sold 113 new lithography systems alongside 8 used systems, compared to 86 new and 5 used systems in the previous quarter.

The strong performance prompted ASML to raise its annual revenue forecast for the third time this year. The company narrowed its full-year 2026 sales expectation to a range of €44 billion to €45 billion, equivalent to $49.27 billion to $50.39 billion, with a gross margin of approximately 56% compared to prior guidance of 54% to 56%. For the fourth quarter, management projected total net sales between €14.2 billion and €15.2 billion (US$15.9 billion to US$17 billion), accompanied by a gross margin of around 57%.

Customer Orders Extend Into 2030 as Demand Outpaces Production Capacity

Even with aggressive expansion plans, the manufacturer faces an unprecedented supply constraint. CEO Christophe Fouquet stated on Wednesday that customers are already seeking to place orders for advanced chipmaking tools for 2029 and 2030, easing earlier market anxieties that the artificial intelligence infrastructure boom was losing momentum.

Kerr added that the results demonstrated that demand for chips remains strong, and infrastructure spending is likely to continue well into 2027. ASML’s customer base includes major foundries and memory makers such as TSMC, Samsung, Intel, SK Hynix, Micron, and Elon Musk’s TeraFab venture, all of which are scaling up production.

In July, ASML announced plans to increase its manufacturing capacity for current-generation extreme ultraviolet (EUV) and DUV immersion systems by 30% in 2027 and another 30% in 2028. However, Fouquet admitted that those increases will not be enough to satisfy incoming orders.

“Durable growth will continue into 2027 and 2028, however, the market will begin asking the question of whether or not there will be any sign of a downturn from 2029 and what impact that has for ASML.”

In Amsterdam trading, ASML shares rose nearly 3 percent following the earnings release, maintaining a gain of roughly 70 percent for the year, giving the company a market valuation around €586 billion. Meanwhile, Nick Rossolillo of Chip Stock Investor noted that maintaining a tight supply environment serves a protective function for the equipment maker.

Concurrently, the company declared an interim dividend of €1.88 per ordinary share, payable on November 4, 2026, alongside €4.1 billion spent on share buybacks during the third quarter under its 2026–2028 buyback program.
