Patrol Officers Hear Cries From Paddington Lane

A 94-year-old Winston-Salem resident was rescued from a harrowing ordeal Friday afternoon after police officers on patrol heard her calling for help from the roadway on Paddington Lane, WXII12 reported.

The incident, which unfolded around 12:53 p.m. on November 6, 2026, led to the swift arrest of a 15-year-old juvenile following a brief foot pursuit. According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, officers were already in the 3200 block of Paddington Lane investigating a separate call for service regarding a suspicious person when they spotted the elderly homeowner in distress.

Foot Pursuit Ends in Teen’s Arrest

As officers approached the residence, a teenage boy bolted from the front door and fled on foot. Police quickly secured the area, chased the suspect down, and took him into custody.

Inside the home, responding officers discovered a 32-year-old woman employed by the homeowner. Investigators determined that the juvenile had forced his way inside, physically assaulting the 94-year-old homeowner and sexually assaulting her employee.
