Todd T. Schroeder of Kieler Dies at Age 62

Todd T. Schroeder: A Life of Service and Connection in Wisconsin

Todd T. Schroeder, a 62-year-old resident of Kieler, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2026. According to the obituary published by channel3000.com, he was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing at Unity Point Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa.

Born on May 14, 1964, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, to Dennis and Tokiko (Nishibe) Schroeder, Todd’s path was defined early on by a commitment to his country and his community. He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School and graduated from Cuba City High School before enlisting in the United States Navy in 1982. His four years of naval service, ending with an honorable discharge in 1986, laid the foundation for a professional life that kept him in motion.

A Career Built on Industry and Travel

Following his military service, Todd transitioned into the newspaper printing industry. His role as a warehouse manager was one that required significant flexibility, leading him to live and work across several states, including Georgia, Connecticut, Texas, and Nevada. It is a career trajectory that reflects the often-hidden labor force behind the physical production of news, a sector that has undergone massive transformation since the mid-1980s as digital distribution began to reshape the logistics of the printing trade.

Beyond his professional commitments, Todd was a man deeply rooted in his personal passions. He was known to be an avid hunter and fisherman, a loyal fan of the Wisconsin Badgers, and someone who found genuine joy in the simple camaraderie of a game of euchre. For those who knew him, he was perhaps most recognizable on the road, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle alongside friends and family.

Memorial Services and Military Honors

The community will have the opportunity to gather and pay their respects on Friday, November 6, 2026. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, which is also serving the family. A memorial service, which will include military honors, is set to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the same location. A private family burial will later take place at the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Kieler.

Todd is survived by his three sisters—Barbara Willett of Dubuque, Iowa; Laura Spillane of Markesan, Wisconsin; and Lisa Schroeder of Sun City, Arizona—as well as his brother, Michael Schroeder of Dubuque, Iowa. He leaves behind a large extended family, including eight nieces and nephews and five great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.

In a poignant acknowledgment of the friendships he cultivated throughout his life, the family noted that he is now preceded by his dear friends Cary, Ray, and Luke. It is a sentiment that speaks to the lasting bonds formed outside of immediate kinship, reflecting the importance of the social networks that sustain individuals throughout their lives.

The family has established a Todd T. Schroeder Memorial Fund in lieu of plants and flowers. As the community prepares for the upcoming services, the focus remains on the legacy of a man who served his country, supported his kin, and found fulfillment in the quiet, steady rhythms of his daily life.
