A toddler found wandering alone in South Kansas City has been reunited with his family
A three-year-old boy found wandering unattended near an apartment complex in south Kansas City is safely back with his family. The child was discovered Monday morning in the 9400 block of Cleveland Avenue, near the Parc at Creekside apartment complex, prompting an urgent search by local authorities, KCTV reported.
The situation unfolded quickly on Monday morning when officers encountered the toddler alone. While the immediate danger has passed, the circumstances surrounding how the child became separated from his guardians remain unclear. Investigators have not yet released information regarding how long the boy had been alone or who initially reported the sighting to the police.
To protect the child’s privacy, safety, and long-term well-being, KCTV removed the toddler’s photograph from its digital coverage following the confirmation of his safe return.
Multiple reports of lost children in Kansas City on Monday
The reunification of the toddler on Cleveland Avenue was not the only incident involving a lost child in the area on Monday. A separate, similar event occurred later that evening in a different neighborhood. As reported by hoodline.com, a young boy who identified himself as “Dylan” was found wandering alone near the intersection of Independence and Drury avenues around 6 p.m.

In that instance, Kansas City police also requested public assistance to help identify the boy and locate his parents or guardians. Much like the earlier case involving the toddler in sports-themed pajamas, Dylan was also successfully reunited with his family.
