Entertainment industry leaders, actors, and creators including Anne Hathaway, Bob Iger, and Dwayne Johnson will be inducted as Disney Legends during the D23 fan convention at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, celebrated through an awards ceremony hosted by Ryan Seacrest.

Honoring Industry Stalwarts at the Honda Center

A diverse group of stars, storytellers, and corporate leaders will officially join the esteemed ranks of Disney Legends in Anaheim, California. The induction ceremony takes place on Sunday at the Honda Center, bringing together figures who have shaped the company’s legacy across decades of entertainment.

Leading the 2026 class of honorees are actor Anne Hathaway, The Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger, actor Dwayne Johnson, music group the Jonas Brothers, and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, alongside more than a dozen other actors, composers, and contributors as part of a group of 11 honorees. The event is hosted by “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest, who leads the ceremony celebrating individuals who have made a lasting impact on The Walt Disney Company and its legacy.

Celebrating Iconic Voices and Broadway Trailblazers

Among the inductees is Susan Egan, widely recognized for creating defining vocal and theatrical roles within the Disney canon. Egan is best known as the voice of Megara in the animated feature “Herculesand as the trailblazing performer who originated the role of Belle in the Broadway production ofBeauty and the Beast” in 1994.

Reflecting on her early theatrical milestone, Egan noted the uncertainty surrounding the stage adaptation at the time. We really didn't know if it was going to work, Egan recalled in a conversation published by LAist with All Things Considered host Nereida Moreno, explaining the challenge of transforming a cartoon with a 10-inch tall teapot into a full human-sized teapot for live audiences.

Beyond her Broadway tenure, Egan embraced her role voicing the sharp-tongued heroine Megara, who she describes as a Disney heroine ahead of her time. Egan noted that the character’s flaws make her relatable, recalling how young women tell her they relate to Meg, prompting her response: Me too. Honestly yeah, string of bad boyfriends, same.
