From Arkansas Razorback Dancer to Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader
The success of Netflix’s “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” has placed a fresh spotlight on the women wearing the team’s iconic boots and blue-and-white uniforms, turning several members into national figures. This football season features Haley Bogdon, an Arkansas Razorback alumna currently navigating her rookie year on the squad, KATV reported.
“It’s truly unreal getting to dance on that field and with this group of girls,” Bogdon said when discussing her rookie season. Before securing a spot with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (DCC), Bogdon spent her college years cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks as a dancer—an experience she noted she would not trade for anything.
“There is truly nothing I feel like, like a Hog fan. Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. It was the most incredible experience,” Bogdon said.
A Lifelong Ambition Realized in Frisco
Bogdon’s background in dance began early. She entered her first dance class at just 3 years old, and she has continued taking classes and performing ever since. Originally from Frisco, Texas, Bogdon grew up as a lifelong fan of the team and held a long-standing ambition of becoming a DCC.
That goal materialized following months of training and tryouts when uniforms were officially distributed to the roster. “I really couldn’t believe it and see Charlotte walk out with our uniforms,” Bogdon said, referencing Charlotte Jones. “I really did my best not to black out almost; I was like, take this in because I’ll never get to experience it like this again.”
Television Appearances and Nursing Career
In addition to performing on the sidelines during games, Bogdon is scheduled to appear in Season 4 of the Netflix docuseries “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.”
“It has already been an experience of a lifetime, one that I couldn’t have even imagined,” she said.
Outside of her commitments to the dance squad, Bogdon holds a degree in nursing and practices as a part-time nurse when not attending games or team practices. She stated that once her cheerleading tenure concludes, she intends to continue working in healthcare to care for others.
