Managing Assets Under Management in Newark
The newly posted hybrid position anchors itself in Newark, requiring a three-day in-office commitment each week. Situated within the asset management business of Prudential, the role targets professionals with at least four years of business experience in asset management, investment operations, financial reporting, or data analytics.
The incoming associate manager will shoulder the responsibility of coordinating monthly and quarterly AUM data collection, validation, and reconciliation across various investment strategies and business units. Candidates stepping into this role will also review data submissions for accuracy, investigate period-over-period asset flow changes, and partner with internal divisions including Finance, Compliance, Marketing, and Technology.
Salary Ranges from $100,000 to $115,000
State-specific legal requirements for New Jersey residents mandate the publication of the salary range for this position, which spans from $100,000 to $115,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on geographic location, prior experience, and technical skill sets.
Beyond the market-competitive base salary, the role includes eligibility for a yearly discretionary bonus. Prudential’s comprehensive benefits structure encompasses medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, alongside a 401(k) plan with a company match of up to 4 percent and a company-funded pension plan. Employees also gain access to wellness program reimbursements of up to $1,600 annually, education benefits, and an employee stock purchase plan.
Associate Manager Supervises Junior Employees
Beyond individual analytical tasks, the Associate Manager will supervise and mentor a small team of one to two junior employees, providing quality oversight during high-pressure reporting cycles. Daily operations rely heavily on advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including pivot tables, large data sets, and lookups. Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau and an understanding of diverse investment products—such as fixed income, equities, real estate, and alternatives—will distinguish top applicants.

Applications are currently open for candidates whose skills align with the operational demands of global asset management reporting.
