Frankfort BJ’s Wholesale Club sets November opening with $2 gas promotion
Gasoline will cost $2 per gallon at the pump for one day only as Frankfort prepares to welcome its newest retail warehouse. The fuel promotion runs Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the on-site BJ’s Gas station located at 4000 Vandalay Drive, state-journal.com reported. The discounted rate applies to regular fuel with a 30-gallon limit per fill-up.
That fuel discount serves as a lead-in to the grand opening of the main warehouse facility. BJ’s Wholesale Club will officially open its doors at the Vandalay Drive site on Nov. 13.
What shoppers will find inside the Vandalay Drive location
The new warehouse brings bulk purchasing options and a treasure-hunt shopping format to local consumers. Club leadership points to everyday savings reaching up to 25% off traditional grocery store prices.

“We’re excited to open the second BJ’s location in Kentucky,” said Angel Gual, club manager for the Frankfort BJ’s Wholesale Club. “We’re bringing savings of up to 25% off grocery store prices every day to the families of Frankfort, and we’re thrilled to be part of the community.”
Shoppers will find fresh foods, produce, full-service deli counters, and bakery goods alongside household essentials, home décor, pet supplies, toys, and consumer electronics. Membership sign-ups are currently open online for area residents looking to access the facility.
Local food bank partnership aims to curb area hunger
Beyond retail sales, the company is establishing a community pipeline for surplus goods. The Frankfort warehouse is partnering with God’s Pantry Food Bank to provide regular donations of fresh produce, meat, and dairy items.
“Our partnership with BJ’s Wholesale Club will have a meaningful impact on our community as we work to reduce hunger in the area,” said Danielle Bozarth, Interim President and CEO of God’s Pantry Food Bank. “We’re grateful for the support of BJ’s and looking forward to making a difference together.”
This local arrangement aligns with a broader corporate initiative. The warehouse chain has maintained a 15-year relationship with Feeding America, directing more than 165 million meals to food banks across its operating footprint.
