CMF Launches Milk Carton-Inspired Wireless Speakers

CMF has launched its first portable Bluetooth speakers, featuring a gable-top gable design inspired by milk cartons. Available in two sizes starting today, the budget-friendly lineup includes customizable modular components, IP68 water resistance, and up to 18 hours of battery life.

CMF Enters Wireless Audio Market With Milk-Carton Design

Budget-focused brand CMF—created by Nothing—has officially branched out into shared listening hardware with two portable Bluetooth speakers. Both models draw direct inspiration from grocery store dairy containers, adopting a boxy, gable-top silhouette that stands out against conventional cylindrical competitors.

Sales for the new hardware begin on October 12, 2026. The units come in four color options: white, dark gray, orange, and turquoise. Beyond their shape, the speakers incorporate a soft-touch matte finish and an integrated vertical flap or carry handle on top for hanging and transport.

Users Can Customize Hardware and Adjust Software Settings

A defining trait of the hardware is its physical customizability. Users can remove and replace the front panel and the old-school physical multifunction volume knob with alternate colors or entirely different designs. To support this, CMF plans to release official design files that enable modders to 3D print their own unique customizations.

Software adjustments are handled through the Nothing X app, where users can tweak sound profiles, adjust real-time AI EQ settings, or switch between preset equalizers.

Connectivity And Multi-Speaker Auracast Support

Connectivity features include Bluetooth 6 support alongside dual-device connections for swapping between audio sources. Users can also pair compatible devices via NFC, Google Fast Pair, or Microsoft Swift Pair, or play audio directly over a USB-C cable. For expanding sound across multiple units, the speakers include an Auracast-based party mode that synchronizes playback across several compatible speakers simultaneously, including devices manufactured by other companies.
