Fargo Landmark The Bowler Bowling Alley Goes on Sale for $4.3 Million

The Bowler, a bowling alley on University Drive in Fargo, is on the market for $4.3 million, Valley News Live reported.

The listing from Goldmark Commercial Real Estate covers the property at 2630 University Drive S., a site near I-94 that spans 3.465 acres. The building itself was constructed in 1959 and offers 32,784 square feet of space under a general commercial zoning designation.

For decades, The Bowler has stood as a well-known landmark in Fargo. The venue operates 24 bowling lanes alongside three bars, a restaurant, a banquet hall and an industrial kitchen, all housed within the single 1959 structure.

The $4.3 million price includes more than just the real estate. A Class AB liquor license transfers with the sale, along with the equipment, furniture and inventory. Additional income flows to the property from tenants operating gaming, vending and a billboard within the building.

Turnkey Bowling Alley or Redevelopment Site

The listing presents the site as turnkey for the existing bowling alley and entertainment business. A buyer could maintain the current operation or convert the space. The listing suggests the building could serve as an event center, food hall, fitness center, church, retail location or office space, or the land could be redeveloped, subject to zoning.

The combination of 24 lanes, multiple bars and a full industrial kitchen means the property can host large events while serving food and drinks. The banquet hall provides dedicated space for private functions, and the nearly three-and-a-half-acre lot offers ample room for parking adjacent to the interstate.

Because the liquor license, gaming operations and billboard revenue are included, the property offers established income streams beyond the bowling alley itself. The general commercial zoning allows for flexibility in how the 32,784 square feet are used.

The Bowler remains listed for sale at $4.3 million.
