Dover Hosts Global Milestone for FemLink-Art 20th Anniversary
On Saturday, November 14, 2026, The Art Center in Dover will serve as a premier East Coast host for a milestone celebration of international video art. The event marks the 20th anniversary of FemLink-Art, a global collective established in 2005 by C. M. Judge of the United States and Véronique Sapin of France. New Hampshire Public Radio reported that the organization has grown to encompass 154 women video artists hailing from 64 countries, utilizing the medium of video to foster creative collaboration across borders.
The evening, scheduled from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, centers on the work of C. M. Judge, who will attend as a special guest to introduce the presentations and host Q&A sessions. Attendees have the flexibility to view individual segments or remain for the duration of the program, which is structured into three distinct thematic video installations.
Three Perspectives on the Female Experience
The curators have organized the anniversary selection into three specific thematic blocks, each intended to challenge the viewer through different cultural lenses. The first segment, titled FEMALE, features 30 videos dedicated to the triumphs, daily challenges, and lived experiences of women. This is followed by AGGRESSION, a collection of 24 works that examine the complexities of conflict and violence. The final segment, MAGIC, shifts the focus to 25 artists exploring themes of illusion, wonder, and transformation.
The event is supported by The Closet Connection, a locally owned, independent business in Dover that has operated for over 30 years. Organizers credit the company’s sponsorship as a vital component in bringing this international exhibition to the local community. Those interested in attending can register for the event through The Art Center’s official website.
