Google has officially detailed its Pixel 11 lineup, introducing four new smartphones—the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold—built with the Tensor G6 chip, expanded base storage tiers starting at 256GB, and a complete design overhaul centered on a redesigned edge-to-edge glass camera bar.

Even though Google scheduled its Made by Google livestream event for later in the evening to showcase Gemini AI hardware integrations, the company revealed its complete hardware announcements ahead of time. The newly unveiled devices mark a significant structural shift in Google’s mobile portfolio, standardizing larger storage capacities and rolling out substantial brightness increases alongside deep artificial intelligence tooling.

Redesigned Hardware Architecture and Tensor G6 Performance

All four models in the Pixel 11 series are built around a reworked camera bar featuring edge-to-edge glass that flows directly into a metal frame, designed to visually and materially match the rest of the hardware ecosystem, including cases, Pixel Watch, and Pixel Snap chargers. Beneath this exterior, Google credits the new Tensor G6 chip with a 50 percent increase in TPU compute. According to the company’s product materials, this computing boost ties directly into faster computational photography, quicker Night Sight captures, and more responsive on-device artificial intelligence tasks.

Accompanying the main processor is a new Titan M3 security coprocessor. Google states that the chip utilizes post-quantum cryptography and meets the same rigorous certification standards used for standard bank cards and SIM cards. Furthermore, every phone in the series officially ends the previous 128GB entry-level option by launching with 256GB as the base storage tier, alongside Google’s standard commitment of 7 years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates.

Display Upgrades Across Pixel 11, Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold

Display panels across the lineup receive notable brightness bumps. The standard Pixel 11 features a 6.3-inch Actua display running at 1080 x 2424 with a 60–120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The device packs 12GB of RAM, a 4,985mAh typical battery rated for over 30 hours, and supports wired charging up to 55 percent in 30 minutes. Its color options include Frost, Pistachio, Hibiscus, and Obsidian.

Stepping up in the hierarchy, the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL utilize a 6.3-inch Super Actua LTPO OLED display operating at 1280 x 2856 with a 1–120Hz refresh rate, hitting a peak brightness of 3,600 nits. Google describes this display as 9 percent brighter and over twice as scratch-resistant as the previous generation. The Pro models offer 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options scaling up to 1TB, available in Canyon, Olive, Fog, and Matte Obsidian. The Pro XL shares the same camera system, color options, and Tensor G6 architecture as the smaller Pro, but offers a larger display, a larger battery, and faster wired charging.

Split Feature Sets and Advanced Camera Capabilities

Hardware and software features are divided among the models. HiLight, a new ambient light built directly into the camera flash, is exclusive to the Pro models, leaving out the standard Pixel 11 and Pro Fold. Zoom capabilities follow a similar tiering structure: the Pro and Pro XL feature Pro Zoom capabilities up to 120x, while the Pixel 11 and Pro Fold max out at 30x Super Zoom.

Despite these hardware divides, several software tools are shared across the entire lineup. Users get Magic Capture—a one-swipe mode capable of capturing both a share-ready photo and video simultaneously—alongside Camera Looks for custom film-style presets. Full support for Gemini Intelligence anchors the software experience, with Google positioning it as a defining generation feature. According to the company, Gemini can proactively surface information from applications, draft and clean up messages, and handle routine physical tasks in the US such as booking a ride or ordering groceries.
