Nominate Boise State Graduating Student Leaders by Nov 16

The clock is running out: nominations for Boise State’s Graduating Student Leader recognition close Monday, Nov. 16.

December Graduates Eligible for Leadership Honor

The award targets students graduating this December who have given freely of their time and gone above and beyond to make a positive impact at Boise State. Leaders come in many forms—across departments, organizations and programs. Both undergraduate and graduate students qualify.

How to Nominate by Nov. 16

The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and the Student Involvement and Leadership Center will recognize the selected students. Anyone who knows a deserving student can submit through the CampusGroups form by Nov. 16, either as an individual nomination or an uploaded list.

Nomination is only the first step. Students who are nominated must complete a short application to be considered for the recognition.

Wearing Cords During Graduation Ceremonies

Recipients receive a leadership cord to wear with their academic regalia. Students and their families can also join a dessert reception on Thursday, Dec. 17.

Separate Track for Student Speaker

There is also a separate nomination track for a student speaker. Submit those nominations as soon as possible; a committee will select the speaker earlier based on the student’s application and the nomination submitted.

For questions about nominations or the recognition, contact Cody Parish with the Student Involvement and Leadership Center at [email protected].

After the Nov. 16 deadline passes, the next dated event on the calendar is the dessert reception on Thursday, Dec. 17, where the selected student leaders and their families can gather.
