Police in New York City are actively searching for a man who tried to kidnap an 11-year-old girl as she walked home from school in the Bronx earlier this week. The daylight attack was thwarted when the pre-teen victim fought back by pinching her attacker, according to cops and sources.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Bruckner Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue in the Mott Haven neighborhood. Investigators stated that the girl was walking when the stranger approached her and tried to take her by force by grabbing her wrist. The victim managed to scare the attacker off by pinching him, prompting the would-be abductor to flee the scene on foot. Police confirmed that the girl was not injured during the encounter.
