Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27. According to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, he died on Sunday at a rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles. The cause of death was not disclosed by authorities.

Born in California in 1999, Presley Gerber was the eldest child of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, who married in 1998, and the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber.

Modeling Career and Early Success

Following in the footsteps of his mother and sister, Presley Gerber entered the modeling industry at a young age.

During his career, he modeled for a wide range of major international and U.S. fashion houses and brands. His runway and campaign work included appearances for Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, Calvin Klein, Celine, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren.

Public Advocacy and Personal Struggles

Throughout his life, Presley Gerber was open about his personal challenges, including a decade-long struggle with drug addiction, depression, and panic attacks. In 2019, he was arrested for driving under the influence and received a sentence of three years of probation, along with a requirement to complete a DUI program and two days of community service.

In later years, he used his platforms to raise mental health awareness, running a “Mental Health Mondays” initiative and working with NGOs such as the Los Angeles homelessness charity A Sense of Home, according to DNA Model Management. Speaking on the Studio 22 podcast in 2023, he discussed the daily reality of managing his mental health, stating, (Mental health) is an issue. It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it.

He added during the podcast appearance: What I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for some other people, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes that I made. In December, he posted a video detailing his use of prescription medications, including antidepressants and Xanax for panic attacks, following recent losses.
