Rany Abdallah, MD PhD MBA – Delaware Pain Management Doctors

As an interventional pain specialist, physician leader, and clinical researcher, his practice centers on multimodal, individualized care strategies designed to avoid one-size-fits-all treatments.

Advanced Training and Multidisciplinary Leadership

Dr. Abdallah earned both his Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees from the Medical University of South Carolina. His postgraduate training took him to Chicago for an Anesthesiology residency at Rush University Medical Center, followed by a Pain Medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served as Chief Fellow. He later earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) to add formal healthcare management training to his clinical background.

Before launching Apico Pain and Wellness, Dr. Abdallah held academic faculty positions at Temple University Health and the University of Vermont Health Network. At the latter, he served as Chief of the Division of Interventional Pain Medicine. In his current hospital-based role, he serves as Section Chief for Pain in the Department of Medicine at ChristianaCare, caring for hospitalized patients with complex acute and chronic needs.

At Apico Pain and Wellness, Dr. Abdallah treats patients experiencing a broad range of conditions. His clinical focus covers:
