Entertainers Ray J and Orlando Brown are scheduled to face off in a celebrity boxing match on TMZ. The matchup is set to take place on Saturday evening, August 15, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Ray J and Orlando Brown Set for Celebrity Boxing Match on Zeus Network
The bout serves as part of the undercard for the event headlined by Claressa Shields and Kaye Scott, according to Yahoo Sports. Coverage for the event begins at 4:00 PM ET, streaming online and through the Zeus app, with coverage later moving to DAZN for the main event, as reported by hotnewhiphop.com. Both Ray J and Orlando Brown are making their celebrity boxing debuts on the network.
Background on the Feud and Viral Exchanges
The matchup stems from a history of viral exchanges, personal jokes, and public trash talk rather than a single specific incident. In October 2024, the two appeared together on Funny Marco’s “Open Thoughts,” where they argued over who was more famous for going viral.
Tension continued during subsequent media appearances. In a January 2025 interview with Ugly Money TV, Orlando Brown downplayed having a serious issue with Ray J while taking a jab by referring to him as Brandy's brother.
The rivalry turned physical during a June press conference in Atlanta to promote the fight. Brown repeatedly hurled insults, claimed Ray J was trying to regain his fame, and repeated the Brandy's brother
jab before pulling out a stack of money and slapping Ray J across the face with the cash. Ray J laughed off the physical gesture. Additional pre-match friction included bizarre allegations from Brown regarding Ray J, as well as the exchange of NSFW insults.
Ray J Seeks Redemption After Previous Knockout
The upcoming fight marks Ray J’s return to the ring following a difficult debut. He enters the August 15 event looking for a bounce-back performance after suffering a knockout loss to Supa Hot Fire at BrandRisk 14 on May 23.
Ray J’s previous defeat resulted in a hospitalization due to a possible concussion, and he later spoke about heart problems that the fight exacerbated. Despite the severity of his previous outing, Ray J has stated he does not feel scared to fight again and revealed during an appearance on The Breakfast Club
that he learned a valuable lesson from his previous loss, telling fans to expect a much different version of him in the ring.
Event Lineup and Broadcast Details
The undercard features several notable celebrity and professional matchups alongside the Ray J and Orlando Brown bout. Chrisean Rock’s sister, Tesehki, is scheduled to take on Big Lex as the official celebrity headliner for the undercard. Another matchup on the card features Xavier versus Noah, who serves as Zeus security. Several professional boxing bouts round out the rest of the event’s lineup.

Viewers can watch the undercard coverage starting at 4:00 PM ET online and via the Zeus app.
