Tammy Bishop searches Las Vegas Strip for Will Mulroy’s wedding ring

A Las Vegas Wedding, a Lost Band, and a Sudden Loss

Tammy Bishop is searching the Las Vegas Strip for a wedding ring that vanished just hours after she married Will Mulroy. Three days after their October 20 ceremony at the Viva Las Vegas Chapel, Mulroy died.

The couple met in July 2023 and made their relationship official in March 2024. A week later, Mulroy was injured in a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed. Despite the physical toll, he continued asking Bishop to marry him, and she agreed.

Planning the Strip Celebration

On Bishop’s October 4 birthday, Mulroy surprised her with plans for a Las Vegas wedding, having already booked the venue and arranged for her friends to attend. It was a perfect day, Bishop told fox5vegas.com, adding that Mulroy was on cloud 9.

The bride and groom prepared separately before meeting outside the party bus that would take them on a tour of the Strip. After the ceremony at Viva Las Vegas Chapel, the newlywed couple and their wedding parties celebrated at various stops.

The Missing Ring on the Strip

At a bar during the celebrations, Mulroy looked down at his hand and realized his wedding band was missing. He had lost weight prior to the wedding, leaving the band two sizes too big, and it likely slipped off while he was handling his wheelchair or moving on the party bus.

Bishop recalled that he started crying upon noticing the ring was gone. We backtracked our steps. We told the bus driver. We had everyone looking. We couldn’t find it, she told fox5vegas.com. The next day, she joked with him about losing it within the first 24 hours.

A Sudden Tragic Turn

Mulroy experienced significant pain on the trip back to South Dakota and mentioned visiting the emergency room upon their return. The next morning, Bishop found him heavily congested and told him to stay home from work.

When she was unable to wake him, she called 911. Doctors at the hospital declared him brain dead. He remained on life support for 24 hours, during which his heart stopped three times in the ER.

The Search for the Band

Mulroy worked at Fleet Farm and had previous experience operating party buses, with plans for the couple to launch their own business together. Now, Bishop hopes a member of the public might locate the missing ring.

Now that I don’t have him, the rings were blessed, and that was our wedding ring, and that was him and how much it meant to him, Bishop told fox5vegas.com. Anyone with information regarding the ring can contact reporter Victoria Saha at [email protected].
