UHart launches redesigned mobile-first homepage on Nov. 5

Prospective students visiting the University of Hartford’s website will encounter a dramatically different digital front door starting Thursday, Nov. 5, when hartford.edu launches a redesigned homepage built around mobile-first design and interactive tools aimed at guiding future Hawks from curiosity to application.

New Homepage Goes Live Thursday, Nov. 5

The redesign prioritizes how today’s students actually research colleges—on their phones—while incorporating refreshed content developed through last year’s brand messaging work and feedback gathered from the UHart community through surveys.

Vertical Video and Interest Explorer Lead the Redesign

Several new features anchor the redesign. Vertical video storytelling now brings student life to the forefront through an immersive hero experience, while an Interactive Interest Explorer allows prospective students to connect their personal interests directly with academic programs, specific opportunities within those programs, and potential career pathways.

New at UHart: Momentum, Innovation, and Opportunity

The university has reorganized its website and admissions pathways to help prospective students move more directly from exploring options to applying. Refreshed visuals and authentic photography align with recent marketing efforts to create a more cohesive digital experience across devices.

Mobile-First Strategy Targets Enrollment Growth

The university frames the redesign as more than a cosmetic update. It represents a step toward a more integrated digital strategy designed to support enrollment goals, strengthen the UHart brand, and deliver a better experience for all audiences. Colleges are now focusing recruitment efforts more on mobile devices, as smartphone use grows over desktop computers.
