Days later, Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram to condemn viral videos from the demonstrations, describing the footage as puke-inducing and crass. She criticized young women participating in the movement, accusing them of flaunting drug and alcohol use and living off parental earnings.

“Ewwww, who is birthing and raising them… India is a place of diversely beautiful people, draped in elegance and rooted in cultural sophistication. You call yourself cockroaches and look/behave like them as well. There is no paradox or juxtaposition there, just simply subjecting the world to your filth, garbage and ugliness. I am scarred from these reels. I need some healing, digital detox.”

She questioned what kind of societal respect daughters using such vulgar language could expect to receive.

“Even members of her own party don’t pay much heed to Kangana Ranaut or take her seriously, so why should we? I don’t think anyone in Gen Z, Gen Alpha, or any younger generation takes her seriously or listens to what she says.”

Das also pointed to past videos recorded during Ranaut’s visits to her parliamentary constituency in Himachal Pradesh, where she remarked on the heavy workload associated with being an MP after initially expecting the job to require minimal effort. Das argued that those admissions exposed her own lack of seriousness, adding that Gen Z has contributed far more to restoring faith in the nation’s democracy than Ranaut has.

Personal Attacks, National Awards, and the Response from Ranaut

Ranaut responded within hours via a series of Instagram Stories, attacking Das’s credibility, age, and professional background. She questioned his claim of student status, pointing out that he is 28 years old.

“Googled this person and he is 28 years old, how he claims to be a student I have no clue!! Yes I am in politics for past 2 years but I have been in public life for last 20 years. At his age I had 2 National Awards, yes as a new parliamentarian I was overwhelmed with all the work because I am also a filmmaker + performing artist + producer + screen writer + entrepreneur.”

Calling Das totally useless and unemployed, Ranaut asserted that he could never understand what it means to be in massive demand. She dismissed his grievances as personal issues and advised him to start by learning a skill.

The exchange highlights the lingering political friction surrounding the student movement, even as the formal NEET-UG protests have drawn to a close following Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation and subsequent government concessions to the CJP.
