Seasonic has secured the first 80 Plus Ruby certification for an ATX power supply at 115V with its Prime Enterprise RX-1600 unit. Administered by CLEAResult, the newly established efficiency tier requires stringent low-load and peak performance benchmarks, setting a new efficiency standard for high-wattage workstations and AI infrastructure heading into 2027.

Power supply engineering has crossed a demanding new threshold. Seasonic earned the first-ever 80 Plus Ruby certification for an ATX power supply, claiming the top spot in the program’s most rigorous efficiency tier tested at 115V. The milestone centers on the newly released Tweaktown, a high-wattage platform built specifically to handle the intense electrical demands of modern workstations, high-end desktop systems, and dense artificial intelligence configurations.

Ruby sits as a brand-new efficiency tier above Titanium, establishing compliance thresholds that push component selection, switching control, and thermal management past previous limits.
