Donald finished the contest with three tackles, a tackle for a loss, and zero pressures according to Next Gen Stats. His most notable impact play arrived late in the second quarter during a 14-3 game, when he shed a block to tackle running back Najee Harris for a 3-yard loss on a third-and-2 situation at the Los Angeles 3-yard line. The Giants ultimately settled for a field goal on the subsequent play.

The Rams’ defense stepped up in their first game without Myles Garrett, who was placed on the injured reserve due to a knee injury following the opening week. The unit held the Giants to 182 yards of total offense and forced backup quarterback Jameis Winston into an interception while limiting him to an 11-for-27 passing night.
