Alaska Airlines Adds Nonstop Nashville to Anchorage Flight for Summer 2027

Alaska Airlines to Connect Nashville and Anchorage With New Nonstop Flight in Summer 2027

Nashville International Airport is adding a direct line to Alaska. Alaska Airlines announced on Oct. 27 that it will launch a new nonstop service between Anchorage, Alaska, and Nashville, Tennessee, beginning in the summer of 2027, according to reporting from The Tennessean.

The route is scheduled to take off on June 12, 2027. It will operate once a week on a limited schedule through August 7, 2027. The airline has not yet confirmed whether the seasonal offering will become an annual fixture or expand into year-round service.

This addition marks the latest chapter in Nashville’s expanding aviation footprint. Alaska Airlines first arrived at Nashville International Airport in 2015 with nonstop flights to Seattle, Washington, before adding a connection to Portland, Oregon, in 2024.

The upcoming Nashville route is part of a broader domestic expansion announced by the carrier, which also includes new nonstop flights connecting Anchorage to Austin, Texas, and Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Together, these routes form the largest nonstop schedule from the state of Alaska in the airline’s history, arriving as the company prepares to celebrate 95 years of service next year.

“Together, the new routes will create the largest nonstop schedule from the state of Alaska in the airline’s history, expanding access to key destinations and reinforcing its commitment to the state as it celebrates 95 years of service next year,” the airline stated.

Alongside the domestic announcements, Alaska Airlines revealed a new nonstop service linking Anchorage directly with Tokyo’s Narita International Airport. While Nashville city and airport leaders have spent the last decade working toward establishing a direct flight from Music City to Asia, Metro Nashville Airport Authority President and CEO Doug Kreulen estimates that a dedicated Nashville-to-Tokyo nonstop remains at least eight years away. Until then, new one-stop itineraries utilizing carriers like Alaska Airlines will broaden travel options for passengers looking to cross the Pacific.
