The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office announced it was conducting a death investigation following the discovery of human remains.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Dorchester Manor Boulevard after the remains were found, according to the sheriff’s office. Their Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit arrived at the location at approximately 12:20 p.m. to conduct the ongoing inquiry.

According to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, deputies assigned to Patrol Team One responded at approximately 10:34 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, to the 300 block of Dorchester Manor Boulevard following reports that human remains had been discovered. A photograph released by the sheriff’s office depicted numerous law enforcement vehicles stationed along a residential street during the operation.
