Nevada residents who carry a Caesars Rewards card can take 25% off the price of a whole holiday pie at Dominique Ansel’s two Las Vegas shops, but only if they buy in person between Nov. 14 and 26, 8 News Now reported. Tourists and non-residents buying the same pie at the same time pay full price. For everyone else, slices of the same pies are already on sale at both locations starting today, giving Strip visitors and locals an early taste of the holiday season weeks before Thanksgiving arrives.
Describing Flavors and Textures of Pies
The Bourbon Pecan Pie layers toasted pecans, brown sugar, molasses and a hint of bourbon into a rich, caramelized filling set in a vanilla sablé crust. The Extra Silky Pumpkin Pie uses triple-strained pumpkin custard for an exceptionally smooth texture, set in a hand-crimped gingerbread crust and topped with Chantilly cream. The Salted Caramel Apple Pie holds caramelized apples in a golden lattice crust, finished with gooey caramel and Maldon sea salt for a balance of sweet and savory.
Slices Now, Whole Pies Nov. 14-26
Both Dominique Ansel at Caesars Palace and Dominique Ansel Marché at Paris Las Vegas are serving these pies by the slice immediately. Guests who want to bring home a whole pie can place pre-orders online at dominiqueansellasvegas.com, and the full pies will be available in-store from Nov. 14 through 26, giving home cooks a two-week window to pick up a centerpiece for their holiday table. The bakery’s own website clarifies the pickup logistics for the Las Vegas market: online pre-orders placed through the Caesars Palace page are reserved exclusively for that location, while customers who prefer the Paris Las Vegas Marché must order through that shop’s separate website. For those outside Nevada, nationwide shipping is available through a different online storefront. The shops also continue to serve Ansel’s signature creations, including the Cronut, the DKA, and the Cookie Shot, alongside fresh-baked croissants and savory bites.
From Four Employees in Soho to the Strip
This holiday push builds on a career that began in 2011, when Ansel opened his first shop. According to Caesars Palace’s profile of the chef, he launched the eponymous Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York City’s Soho neighborhood that year with just four employees, betting that his inventive pastries could stand on their own in one of the world’s most competitive food markets and capture the attention of diners willing to line up for hours. In 2017, the World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards named him the World’s Best Pastry Chef for his prolific creativity, the Caesars profile notes. Food & Wine has called him a “Culinary Van Gogh,” while the New York Post coined him “the Willy Wonka of New York.” France has also recognized his contributions to gastronomy, bestowing on him l’Ordre du Mérite Agricole, the country’s second highest honor, in acknowledgment of his work elevating pastry arts. Before opening his own bakery, Ansel served as executive pastry chef for restaurant Daniel in New York, where the team earned its coveted third Michelin star and a four-star review from The New York Times. His expansion continued methodically across continents: in January 2020, he launched Dang Wen Li by Dominique Ansel in Hong Kong, and in July 2021 he opened Dominique Ansel Workshop, a croissant counter inside his pastry kitchens in Manhattan’s Flatiron neighborhood, focusing on fresh-baked croissants and savory bites for the lunch crowd.
The Two-Week Window for Whole Pies
Now, with two Las Vegas locations, Ansel has opened shops at Caesars Palace and Paris Las Vegas. The holiday pies arrive at a moment when local residents have a specific financial incentive to visit in person: the 25% discount for Caesars Rewards members applies exclusively to Nevada residents buying whole pies in-store during the Nov. 14-26 window. Whole pies will be available in-store from Nov. 14-26.
