Georgia Military College and Valdosta State University have established a graduate pathway agreement to help qualified GMC students pursue advanced business programs at VSU. The partnership creates a streamlined route for graduates to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA), WebMBA, or Master of Accountancy (MAcc).
Streamlined Admission for Eligible Students
Under the agreement, GMC students who have completed a bachelor’s degree or are in their final year of undergraduate study and maintain a 3.25 GPA or higher may participate. Eligible students can be considered for admission to VSU’s graduate business programs with a streamlined application process. VSU may waive the graduate application fee and resume submission requirement for these students, subject to applicable university policies.
Program-Specific Requirements
The pathway includes specific guidance for each program. MBA students are expected to have foundational knowledge in accounting, finance, economics, and marketing. Students pursuing the WebMBA must have at least two years of professional work experience, while non-accounting majors pursuing the Master of Accountancy are required to complete VSU’s Summer Accounting Institute before beginning the program.

Partnership and Commitment to Student Success
“This partnership provides another meaningful opportunity for GMC graduates to continue building on the academic foundation they have developed at Georgia Military College,” said GMC President, Major General Terry McKenrick, U.S. Army (Retired). The agreement emphasizes collaboration in advising and outreach, ensuring students have timely information. “Higher education is most impactful when institutions work together to create meaningful opportunities for students to reach their full potential,” said Dr. Guclu Atinc, Dean of the Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration at VSU.
