Jackery has introduced the Explorer 100D, an ultra-compact portable power station measuring 4.6 by 3.4 by 3.4 inches and weighing 1.87 pounds. Featuring a 96Wh capacity and up to 158W output, the new battery is engineered for everyday mobile productivity and is slated for wide retail availability starting November 15.
Portable power stations have traditionally traded away pocket-sized convenience for high-capacity output, often leaving frequent travelers and remote professionals hauling heavy equipment just to keep their devices running through a workday. Jackery announced the Explorer 100D to bridge that gap between bulky home-backup units and standard pocket power banks, targeting active professionals who need reliable energy on domestic and international flights, in coffee shops, or while working off-grid.
Physical Dimensions and Power Output Specifications
The device measures 4.6 by 3.4 by 3.4 inches and weighs 1.87 pounds. Despite its diminutive footprint, the power station delivers up to 158W of total output across its connection ports.

On the front panel, users find a pair of USB-C ports capable of 140W output, alongside a single 18W USB-A port designed for lower-draw electronics. The unit supports advanced charging protocols including AVS, PD, and PPS, enabling it to efficiently power everything from high-draw laptops to ultra-efficient smartphones. When all three ports draw power simultaneously, total output maxes out at 158W, meaning power delivery across the active connections adjusts accordingly.
Battery Chemistry, Lifespan, and Recharge Options
Powering the compact chassis are lithium iron phosphate, or LFP, cells. Jackery first introduced LFP batteries to its lineup in 2023, touting them as safer and longer-lasting than traditional lithium-ion alternatives. The manufacturer notes that the 100D is engineered for up to 8 years of regular use
while sustaining 3,000 charge cycles.

Developed for peak productivity, the Explorer 100D represents years of honed design and feature implementation, while maintaining focus on the top-quality engineering and unmatched consistency that make Jackery portable power stations must-haves for work and travel. Thanks to that collection of refined expertise, it’s among the longest-lasting ultra-portable batteries ever.

Recharging the unit adapts to various travel schedules and off-grid scenarios. The 100D supports up to 100W of direct solar input, which brings the unit back up to 80 percent capacity in about an hour and a half. In vehicles with 24V DC configurations, the time required for a full charge drops to little more than 2 hours.
Retail Availability and Pricing Schedule
Market rollout for the portable power station spans multiple retail channels and regional timelines. The standalone unit arrives at Walmart starting November 15 with a retail price of $99. Buyers who prefer not to wait can find the hardware immediately through Costco, though it is currently sold exclusively in a two-pack bundle priced at $179.99. Meanwhile, the Jackery Explorer 100D was announced for availability on Amazon and direct from Jackery Canada and Amazon Canada beginning on October 28, 2026 with a standard MSRP of $179 CAD.
