Jason Momoa’s Band ÖOF TATATÁ to Play OKC’s Fassler Hall on Halloween

Actor Jason Momoa is bringing his rock and blues band, ÖOF TATATÁ, to Fassler Hall in Oklahoma City for a performance on Halloween night, October 31. The show is part of a series of local appearances Momoa has made while filming his new movie, Copperhead, in nearby Shawnee, as reported by FOX23.

The event serves as a rare intersection of Hollywood production and local nightlife.

Tickets and Timing at Fassler Hall

The performance will take place at 421 NW 10th Street. Tickets are priced at $20 and will be available at the door. Doors are scheduled to open at 7 p.m., with the music starting at 8 p.m.

This isn’t Momoa’s first time hitting an Oklahoma stage recently. He and his band previously played at The Vanguard this past Saturday, where they opened for The Bobby Lees, a group Momoa is reportedly a huge fan of.

The Sound of ÖOF TATATÁ

While known to the world as Aquaman, Momoa’s musical project, ÖOF TATATÁ, leans heavily into high-energy rock and blues. The band includes longtime friends Mike Hayes and Kenny Dale, according to Aloha State Daily. Their setlist is a deep dive into the foundations of hard rock, featuring covers of Metallica, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Stooges, and Jimi Hendrix, as reported by Loudersound.

The band has been building a diverse, if unconventional, tour map. Their first appearance was in April at a wrap party for the live-action Minecraft movie in New Zealand. Since then, they have played a variety of venues with wildly different entry points:

  • Hawaii: A sold-out debut at Blue Note Hawaiʻi on St. Patrick’s Day with a $20 food or beverage minimum.
  • Montana: A show at the 400-capacity Rialto in Bozeman.
  • Tennessee & Texas: Stops at Cannery Hall in Nashville and Stubb’s in Austin.
  • Washington: A free performance at the ilani Casino Resort’s Rock & Brews.

At $20, the Oklahoma City show sits in the middle of the band’s pricing spectrum, leaving it unclear if the event will mirror the sold-out crowds of Hawaii or the open-access nature of their Washington appearance.

Hollywood’s Footprint in Oklahoma

The music is a byproduct of the production of Copperhead, a thriller featuring Momoa as a veteran detective who teams up with a federal agent to uncover a conspiracy within an elite task force following a botched undercover drug deal. The film also stars Miles Teller, according to News 9.

The presence of such a production provides more than just celebrity sightings. Momoa has been seen visiting local staples like the Trolley Stop Record Shop, according to KOCO. This blending of a film shoot with local business patronage creates a ripple effect that extends beyond the soundstage.

“It helps our business, our economy, the dreamers that want to be on set.”

That sentiment, shared by a background actor speaking to KOCO, underscores the civic impact of the film industry. When Hollywood chooses a location, it doesn’t just hire a crew; it validates local talent and provides a professional showcase for Oklahoma’s production crews to prove their capabilities to visiting industry leaders.
