Kelly Rowland Joins The Voice UK Coaching Panel for New Season

Kelly Rowland joins the swivelling chairs as a new judge on ITV1’s talent show The Voice UK, sitting alongside Tom Jones, will.i.am, Tom Fletcher, and Danny Jones. Emma Willis returns to host the series, which also introduces a new rewind button allowing coaches to bring back rejected contestants.

The New Coaching Panel and the Rewind Feature

Alongside the refreshed lineup, the talent show introduces a notable gameplay tweak: a new “rewind” button. This feature gives the judges an opportunity to bring back a contestant they regret letting go.

Emma Willis is back on hosting duties for the current series, though television schedules note this could well be her last time presenting the programme.

Saturday Night Entertainment Across the Channels

Viewers tuning in for Saturday evening television face a packed schedule of entertainment and quiz formats across major networks. Over on ITV1, comedian and actor Katherine Ryan returns for a Deal Or No Deal: Celebrity Special at 6pm. Facing the infamous Banker once again, Ryan brings a history of taking home cash for charity as she tackles the 22 red boxes with Stephen Mulhern keeping up.

Meanwhile, BBC One offers Alan Carr’s Picture Slam at 6.30pm. The breezy say what you see quiz challenges competing duos to correctly identify images against the clock, drawing from an arbitrary pick’n’mix of subjects ranging from classic Hollywood to smartphone app icons.

Music Tributes and Factual Drama

Music lovers can turn to BBC Two at 8pm for Marvin Gaye: A Tribute at the Proms. Edwin Outwater conducts the BBC Concert Orchestra in a celebration of the soul icon, hosted by Andi Oliver with guest singers including Luke James on tonsil duty. The programme features new arrangements of classics such as I Heard It Through the Grapevine, Sexual Healing, and Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.

As panic spreads, Gilles attempts risky negotiations with the Taliban amid a complete lack of trust on both sides, while Amina decides to flee and wonders if she can keep Nooria safe.

Documentary Focus and Film Choices

Channel 5 examines contemporary figures at 9.30pm with Nigel Farage: Where Does the Money Come From?. While Reform’s taste for litigation makes idle speculation unwise, the documentary puts Farage’s finances under the microscope by exploring his donors and examining his lucrative sidelines as a broadcaster and speaker.
