King Art Games Details Blood Ravens and Dark Angels Playstyles
The fourth and final faction deep dive for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV showcases two playable Space Marine chapters: the Blood Ravens and the Dark Angels. Deep Silver and developer King Art Games unveiled the showcase on October 8, highlighting how these iconic chapters bring distinctly different approaches to warfare on the world of Kronus.
The Blood Ravens focus on reconnaissance, infiltration, and precision. Operating behind enemy lines, they gather intelligence and exploit weaknesses before launching coordinated strikes. The Dark Angels take the opposite path, deploying heavily armored formations in relentless direct assaults of sheer firepower.
For heavier firepower, commanders can field Redemptor Dreadnoughts, which operate alongside Reapers as a powerful tank strike force.

Deep Silver and King Art Games announced a new trailer showcasing the Space Marines’ power, highlighting their strategic capabilities and cinematic elements.
Elite Strike Forces and Tactical Flexibility on Kronus
Players control relatively few units that carry high resource costs but pack exceptional combat effectiveness.
Instead of relying on massive waves of infantry, commanders must protect and upgrade their small strike forces. Units that fall in battle require both repurchase and re-upgrading, making losses more costly to recover from quickly. If hard-pressed, forces can hold their ground, auto-heal, or wait for reinforcements.
Space Marines have access to powerful battlefield abilities, including Drop Pod deployments and Orbital Bombardments, allowing them to reinforce positions and unleash devastating attacks against enemy armies. Cinematic trailers also depict chapters fighting off the Necron.
Commanding the chapters on the battlefield are Captain Cyrus of the Blood Ravens and Company Master Astoran of the Dark Angels. Cyrus specializes in stealth, marksmanship, and carefully timed air strikes, while Astoran leads from the front lines clad in powerful Terminator armor designed to withstand heavy enemy attacks.
